Members and Roles
Every person working in a project is either a Provider or a Client. This role determines what they can do throughout the project — particularly in the approval workflow.
Adding members
Section titled “Adding members”Go to Project → Settings → People → Invite. Enter the person’s email address and choose their role. They receive an invitation email; if they’re new to Vanillaround, they’ll create an account as part of accepting.
Adding teams
Section titled “Adding teams”If your business account has teams set up, you can add all members of a team to a project at once:
- Go to Project → Settings → People → Add Team
- Select the team
- Select the role to assign to all team members

Changing a member’s role
Section titled “Changing a member’s role”Open Project → People, find the member, and select Change Role. The change takes effect immediately and applies to all cards and approval workflows in the project.
Removing a member
Section titled “Removing a member”Find the member in Project → People and select Remove. They immediately lose access to the project. Pending card approvals assigned to them will need to be reassigned.
Leaving a project
Section titled “Leaving a project”Members can remove themselves from a project via Project → Leave Project, unless they are the project creator. The creator must transfer ownership or delete the project before leaving.
