Mentions and Notifications
Vanillaround uses mentions and notifications to keep the right people informed without requiring everyone to monitor the tool constantly.
Mentions
Section titled “Mentions”Type @ followed by a team member’s name anywhere in a spec page to mention them. As you type, a dropdown appears suggesting matching members. Select a name to create the mention.
When someone is mentioned:
- They receive an in-app notification with a link to the exact location in the document
- They receive an email notification with a preview of the context around the mention
Mentions work for both Providers and Clients. Use them to draw a specific person’s attention to a section of a spec, flag a question, or request a review.
